上述所提到的國家舉凡過收費站、上匝道取票下匝道付費、繳年費貼在擋風玻璃的、免收費的，礙佛瑞通通都有實際操作過。
但目前碰到最特別最不一樣的高速公路收費方式就是在愛爾蘭。
愛爾蘭「M50」高速公路繳費方式為行駛過後隔日20:00前自行上網繳納。
除了「M50」其他愛爾蘭高速公路路段都是過收費站繳費。
總結一句話：「愛爾蘭高速公路是要收費的。」
M50 Toll Road
M50大致的範圍是從「Dublin Port」到「Dublin Airport」。
以M50為中心，串起愛爾蘭其他高速公路M1、M3、M4、N6、M7、M8、N8、N25。
簡而言之M50就像是都柏林的外環道。
從地圖中可看出愛爾蘭高速公路基本上是以都柏林為根據地，輻射狀發散開來。
沒意外的話從都柏林機場租車一定會經過「M50」高速公路。
行經M50一定會經過這種提醒你隔天20:00前要繳費的告示。
但，到底該如何繳費？

M50 Toll Charge
收費級距從小客車、8人以上客車、公車、貨車、連結車⋯⋯等等。
另外還有各種「常客」制度。
像礙氏夫妻這種租短期車的背包客當然什麼優惠都不會有。
8人以下小客車的收費，每次收費€3.10
注意：必須於隔日20:00前繳費
How will I know if I’ve passed the toll?
問題是⋯⋯行經哪裡時要收費呢？
或者是⋯⋯一上M50就要收費嗎?
官網敘述收費點位於Junction 6 (Blanchardstown) and Junction 7 (Lucan) of the M50之間。
The toll is located on a gantry over the motorway between Junction 6 (Blanchardstown) and Junction 7 (Lucan) of the M50. The toll is indicated by signage as can be seen in the image above. By driving under this gantry, you are liable to pay the M50 toll.
How can I pay the M50 toll
支付M50 toll有很多種方法：
- 登入eFlow.ie，並點選I Want to Pay a Toll
- 在愛爾蘭境內任何Payzone的商家以現金或信用卡支付
- 在愛爾蘭致電1890 50 10 50、英國致電0845 30 15 405或從任何國家致電+353 1 4610122
- 下載M50 Quick Pay App

- Online at eFlow.ie – select I Want to Pay a Toll on the home page and follow the on-screen steps.
- Download the M50 Quick Pay App on Apple and Android stores and pay from the comfort of your couch
- In person with cash or card at any Payzone retail outlet nationwide. Have the vehicle’s licence plate number ready and tell the cashier how many journeys you’d like to pay for.
- Call us on LoCall 1890 50 10 50 from the Republic of Ireland, 0845 30 15 405 from the UK, or +353 1 4610122 from any other country.
Useful tip: Make sure to keep your receipt or receipt number for any payments you make.
礙彿瑞是使用電腦網頁版支付M50費用，所以在這篇文章中使用網頁版做例子。
使用手機App繳費流程應該也不會差太多。
至於親自到商家付款或電話繳費，請記得必須提供車牌號碼與使用M50的次數，這樣一來才有辦法繳款。
最後也是最重要的，一定要E-mail一份收據給自已留存。
行經M50途中會看到許多提醒隔日20:00前繳費的告示牌。

如果真的忘記付款會發生什麼事呢？
罰款。
是的，就是罰款。
跟信用卡逾期未繳款一樣會產生利息與滯納金。
M50費用逾期未繳罰款明細如下：
- 隔日20:00末繳旅費會收到第一封罰款通知，此時罰款€3。
- 14天後還未繳旅費與罰款會收到第二封罰款通知，此時罰款€44(含第一封的€3)。
- 56天後還未繳旅費與罰款會收到第三封罰款通知，此時罰款€103，並採取法律行動。
Unpaid Toll Notice (UTN)
If payment for an M50 toll charge and First Penalty Notice is not made within 14 days, then an Unpaid Toll Notice (UTN) issued to the vehicle owner’s registered address.
An Unpaid Toll Notice includes the charge for the original toll, First Penalty Notice (€3.00) and an additional late payment penalty of €41.00.
If payment is not made to cover the journey and penalties within 56 days of an Unpaid Toll Notice being issued, then a further late payment penalty of €103.00 is applied to the journey. The transaction will also be passed to our legal team, Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors, for collection.
如何繳罰款呢？（希望大家都不會用到！但你一定要知道。）
進入pay a penalty頁面，輸入車牌與罰款編號或至全愛爾蘭的Payzone商店繳納。
租車的旅人應該是租車公司會協助繳納，事後從登記的信用卡資料請款。
租車公司會收取一定金額的手續費／代辦費。
